Whilst Ferrari is working on a new F12berlinetta, you can watch the current model racing its little brother, the 599 GTO in the following video.
It may sound a bit unfair that these two cars are performing a drag race against each other, but someone has to show who the boss is. Both cars feature a V12 Ferrari engine and the only differences between them are the engine capacity and the amount of horsepower produced.
The F12berlinetta features a 6.3L V12 that produces 740 horsepower and the 599 GTO features a 6.0L V12 which produces 670 horsepower. So the difference is 70 horsepower, but as many other videos have proven, the amount of horsepower does not play a vital role when the difference isn’t huge.
It´s all about the driver, in this case his reaction time is crucial and the moments of acceleration. So place your bets, do you think the Ferrari 599 GTO is going to win, or the Ferrari F12berlinetta? The outcome might not be so surprise, but that doesn’t take away the fact that this is an exciting video.
