The Volkswagen Golf Design Vision GTI is a one-of-a-kind superhatch fitted with a 3-litre engine boasting 500bhp.

It has more than twice the power of a standard Golf GTI and is capable of 0-62mph in 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 186mph. This puts the car on par with some of the world’s fastest supercar and its jaw-dropping design also makes it one of the maddest-looking motors.
