STARTECH has gotten its hands on the new Land Rover Defender, turning the utilitarian SUV into a more refined machine. In standard form, the Defender is a strong and imposing 4×4 that, depending on the way it’s styled and specced, looks well suited in a city and the countryside. As for this STARTECH version, it’s clear the company is aiming more towards a civilianized aesthetic thanks to its extended, smooth body kit and the new set of rims.

Taking on both the 90 and 110 (three or five-door, respectively), STARTECH adds a sporty styling kit that extends the front bumper, switches up the grille (adding its branding in place of Land Rover‘s), and also reworks the side skirts and rear bumper. The hinged trunk door has also been given a rework, now sporting a Union Jack flag to celebrate the Defender’s heritage. By deleting the spare wheel, STARTECH further insists this Defender isn’t for the offroaders at heart.

As for the wheels, the tuning company adds a huge set of 23-inch “Monostar E” rims in black front-and-rear, sitting on low-profile tires. It also sits 35mm lower when in “road mode” in comparison to the stock model, while “off-road mode” remains the same height for better ground clearance.

Inside, STARTECH can add red, blue, or black anodized bolts and can also paint all the metal parts of the interior for a sportier, less utilitarian aesthetic. Rounding out the customization package is a range of leathers that can be equipped to the Defender.
