One of the most visually menacing cars ever built has arrived in Cleveland, Ohio, with supercar dealer Bernie Moreno adding the $2.3 million Aston Martin Vulcan to his personal connection. The British carmaker is limiting production to just 24 units, in spirit of the 24 hours of Le Mans.Three will make it to the US, and two will be in Cleveland. Thanks to Cleveland.com we have this footage of the track-only monster cruising around the streets of North Olmsted complete with police escort. That was after a team of guys spent Wednesday morning carefully maneuvering the car, which sits just two inches off the ground, from the truck to the tarmac.
Aston’s answer to the Ferrari FXX K and McLaren P1 GTR, the Vulcan comes powered by a naturally-aspirated 7.0-liter V12 rated at over 800 hp. Interesting, the engine in the red Vulcan that’ll sit in Moreno’s Aston showroom has been detuned to around 500 hp. But if he can prove himself on the track, the boys from Gaydon will unlock the track-only hypercar’s full potential that includes a top speed in excess of 200 mph and a sub-three second 0-62 mph time.
