Lamborghini have officially unveiled the highly anticipated roadster version of the Aventador SuperVeloce (SV). The new roofless supercar will make its worldwide debut at Pebble Beach this weekend.

 

Just like the Aventador SV Coupe the Roadster is unbelievable striking and unsurprisingly fast. The Roaster receives the same 6.5-litre V12 featured in the standard Aventador Roadster, but like the SV Coupe it also receives more power, 740 bhp to be exact.

 

The “new” Roadster weighs in at 1575kg, 50kg less than the normal Aventador Roadster, but 50kg more than its SV brother. Due to this increase in weight the 0-62mph time has increased, but only a little compared to the SV Coupe. The SV Coupe blasts from 0-62mph in 2.8 seconds whereas the Roadster completes the time in 2.9 seconds. However taking into consideration that the Roadster still maintains the same “over 217mph” top speed and the addition of more V12 noise with the roof down, you will have to be very particular to care about that missing tenth of a second.
